On Tuesday 25 April 2017, a British Pugwash discussion meeting will tackle the question of what motivates North Korea’s nuclear programme, against the background of recent events. The speaker will be John Everard, a former diplomat who has extensive experience of North Korea and China. He will consider the North Koreans’ objectives and what we know of their nuclear doctrine.
The meeting will be held at the Gavin de Beer Lecture Theatre, Anatomy Building, University College London, Gower Street, WC1E 6BT, 17.30-19.00 and will follow the British Pugwash Group’s annual general meeting.
