At a public discussion meeting on10 May 2007, Lord Roper, former Liberal Democrat Chief Whip in the House of Lords and Professorial Fellow at the Institute for German Studies of the University of Birmingham discussed the deployment of military force by NATO and the EU since the end of the Cold War.
