SYP UK – CSKR Media Training day – 5th July

Student/Young Pugwash (SYP) UK has collaborated with the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots (CSKR) to organise an investigative journalism training session for students interested in their university’s involvement in ‘autonomous weapons’ research.

The day-long training event will be lead by Iain Overton, an investigative journalist and the Executive Director of Action on Armed Violence. Having worked in over two dozen conflict zones, a former BBC and ITN journalist, Iain’s human rights reporting has been awarded a Peabody Award, two Amnesty Awards and a OneWorld Media Award.
